Strengthening team communication with award winning HSE Advice UK
The best businesses know the importance of learning new skills. Continuous improvement was the theme of the day for Lancaster’s award-winning health and safety consultancy HSE Advice UK at their recent team development day.
HSE Advice UK’s team all know the importance of effective communication in ensuring successful health and safety in the workplace. It was Lostock Consulting’s turn to deliver a session for the award winners as their team came together to learn new approaches to communicating and achieving a shared goal with colleagues.
The team development sessions took place at the team’s Lancaster HQ with the passionate and committed team of six focusing on learning aims which included:
· Understanding colleague and client personality types and communication preferences.
· Self reflection and communicating for positive outcomes.
· Coaching and how to approach conversations within our team and clients.
· Active listening and positive gossip.
· Understanding the motivations of our colleagues and empathising with their tasks.
· Team exercise applying learning outcomes to tasks and working towards a set goal collectively.
